Default Are T/C Hawken/Renegades like Chevys?

I mean, does a lock built for the hawken fit the renegade? Is there any difference between the stock of a flintlock verses a percussion? Can a flintlock lock go right where the caplock lock was and fit properly for a flintlock barrel? Are the original hawkens and renegades any different in terms of parts fitting than those made today?

Can not tell you about flints.. but percussion the parts are changeable... there is some difference in old locks and new locks and old hammers and new hammers... Older locks have a greater lock time and you can tell if they are the older lock by the position of the hammer at 1/2 cock... if the hammer hovers just above the nipple it is a new lock and the hammer lever will be almost inline with the hammer body - if it is an older lock the 1/2 position will be higher off the nipple almost enough room to cap the nipple and the lever will be laid back and out of line with the body...

Those are my observations - don't claimit to be law.... hope that makes some sense...

Ican show butI can not always write what I mean...

A flintlock lock will fit a t/c percussion stock, may need a little sanding here and there ,I find the older locks work great all is needed is the newer style hammer and the new vent liners that use an allen key instaed of a screwdriver slot.
hawkens and renegades take the same lock the barrels are different 15/16 for the hawkens and 1' barrels for the renegade, now t.c did make a hawkens also with a 1" barrel

That's pretty interesting.. I could order a drop in lock for one of my Renegades and a flintlock style Green Mountain Barrel then and build my own flintlock on the stock.

Yes the .54 cal T/C Hawken is a 1" across the flats barrel. I have one and when I ordered a .50 cal barrel for it I had to specify the 1" one from TOTW. The only problem with that is the rifle gets pretty heavy with the longer .50 cal barrel and the wider outside. I ordered the .50 with slow twist so that I could make it a patch and ball target rifle. It is way too heavy to carry hunting.

That's what I was thinking! I won this brand new cell phone and just sold it and have some cash to spend. Have the total blessing of the misses, so I'm thinking GM 1" FL barrel in .58 slow twist and a renegade stock. Gonna take a little bit of shopping to build this one on the budget, but should be like a brand new one, only it'll have roundball twist!

Thanks to all for the informative comments.
