New ML on the way
One of the guys on the forum told me about a LH Hawken BP percusion rifle in a different state. I called the shop and he is sending it to me to inspect andif I like it its mine. He said it is an older rifle so I will have to see. No markings other than "Hawken BP" and on the top barrel and it is signed in cursive behind the rear sight as " L J Stollmenburg 18 or Stollenburg 18".
Any of you ever heard of this name as a builder? It might just be the original owner. I have seen a few makers sign the top of the barrel behind the rear sight like this. I will take it apart and inspect it close . There may be some other marks somewhere.
