Default Went and did it

Our local walmart had some 777 ffg marked down to 11.00 a pound. I bought 4 of them. Going to try it in my Knight Revolution II with a power stem breech plug. It has a long stem off the breech plug that goes up in the powder chargeand supposeto get the ultimate out of loose powder. It ignites the powder towards the front. Going to be trying the Knight Ultimate Slam Series Polymer tipped boat tail bullets in 290 grains. I got 3 boxes of those at a gun shop for 6.99 a box of 18. This should make for a long range thumper.

You made some great deals there.. and I am sure that you will find the powder works great for you. Keep us posted as to how the rifle is doing..

You probably know this already but:

You must use a MINIMUM of 120 grains of LOOSE powder (As stated in the directions). Whether it is APP or 777, so that the end of the stem is in the CENTER of the powder charge.

Your milage may vary, but the whole idea is to burn the charge in both directions starting from the center.

Keep us posted on your results

My TC Thunderhawk was a longer stem too and I don't get that crud ring likeI do w/ the Omega when using 777. That stem may be the ticket!

Not sure about the "center of powder" thing but my understanding of the 120 min. is so the bullet does not come in contact with the stem, thus creating a few problems like blocking the exit hole of the stem or having a space between the bullet and the powder. I don't have one so I've not seen the manual but that is what I understood when talking to the shop owner at a local MLer shop who had the Knight rep visit the shop and demonstrate the system to him.
