Default Lee, may have found your next varmint bullet

Check this out http://blackjackhill.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_7_16& amp;products_id=163&zenid=88fee2c83fa5af3d98ef e28797edc807

Much cheaper than the 245 PBs, a little faster, and I bet explosive. I think that is the biggest hollowpoint, relative to bullet size, I have ever seen on a bullet.

I got some of them to try from Bill Davis. I shot them out of a couple different rifles. Accuracy was not the greatest, but I was really unsure how hard to push them. By the time I got to where I thought I might have a load, I ran out of the bullets. The hollow point is indeed really deep.

Cayugad,
What loads did you try? They are light enough that they may work in a slower twist barrel pushed with a heavier load. That might workbetter thana fast twist barrel. Could be interesting to try. Could make for a bad hare day for some waskly wabbit.

How much charge were you using when you thought you'd have a load? Going over my notes on Pyro P and 245 ballet, I figure that 60 grains of Pyro P would propel this projectile to 1665 fps and still be going 1200 fps at 100 yards. 65-70 grains 3f Goexshould yield similar velocities.

I was shooting them out of inline rifles with 85-100 grains. Accuracy was not terrible, I just thought it could have been better.
