Default what do you think

i have a friend who has a muzzleloader that is a traditions no front sight and rusty but other then that looks alright he dosent like it never messes with it or uses it i thought about trying to work out a deal with him how mutch shou i offer him

Should be a good rifle. Sometimes the older rusty ones are real good shooters. The main thing with used rifles is make sure the rifle is safe to shoot... good luck with the rifle. Sometimes you can make a good deal on them.

$50, never more than $100 since it has been somewhat abused and "not loved".

I would also say that no more than $100 would be acceptable. Do make sure it is safe and able to be used before you buy it. Best of luck to you!

If the rust is only light, then go for it. You can get a new front sight somewhere for a cheap price. Might I ask what model?
