Default Frustration..

I tried to upload some pics tonight. Very frustrating. No kids in this house to help and not much info on this site. They are jpeg images, but when I try to import them I get an error message. Each pic is over 500kb which is larger than the 100kb the system says it allows, but I've seen tons of pics others have posted I would think are every bit as large as these. Any help here would be great. I do need to get on board with this stuff. Thanks.

You have to upload them to a host first??, such as photobucket. From there you can resize them!

http://www.photobucket.com is a good site to host pictures. It will also make them smaller. There are always problems posting when you have too large of a pic, and it plays the devil for us on dial up when we open your post and the pic takes five minutes to open.

I use the power toy image resizer that is free from Microsoft- YES!!! Something free from microsoft. Go down to where you see image resizer on the right and click the link and download.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Another free tool I like very well to resize images with is Picasa. It is also a great program to organize all of your pictures on your computer.

You still have to have a Host.
This forum will host 3 pics per post if they are under 100kb each.

Ok. I've been to photobucket, established an account and uploaded several photos using the option to resize for "forums".

Now, how do I go from starting a "reply" on this board to get the photos from Photobucket?

Man I'm thick.....
