Default uv killers

Is there a way to make your own? The cost of store bought and the distance it goes doesn't add up. Its safe to touch so it must have safe ingredients.Ive read on here about uv and had my real run in with it on thursday. All camo on the ground wind on my face. Three seprate deer came out to me. i would have been off to their right and they all pin pointed me, Didn't run didn't fear me but thet knew I was there. I bought some uv killer and thought it was costly.( compared to a gallon of gas) LOL

The only thing I have heard is use a black light and it should show you if your clothes have UV in them and are bright to deer eyes.

[/align]Don't laugh, I took my daughters black lite and used it and found out that darker camo does not floress as do the lighter ones do. The uv killer does work cause I sprayed a spot on my snow camo and it took the floress from the material. And yes you don't want to wash your stuff in anything that brightens the wash. There just has to be an less expensive way to accomplish this task. The other works out to be about $52.00 a gallion and dosen't go that far.Come on it can't cost that much for R&D and ton make the stuff

goto walmart and goto the sporting goods area. look for "sport wash" they got 2 diffrent kinds. one in the hunting area with the scent stuff thats like 5$ and one in the camping area thats like 3 or 4$..actually i think they got a couple diffrent kinds. but read them and pick..theres one that is called UV wash or UV killer. i believe they were all cheap...could be wrong.

I use the commercial stuff from Wally world. I also use the scent killer. I know the stuff works as this year I had a bull elk walk up within 10 feet of me and just walk around. I was partly concealed by a log but he never knew I was there. Unfortunately I had a cow tag only. He was in my area for probably five minutes and on three different sides so he should have winded me if the killer was not working. I suspect that you could substitute some base soap if you can find any that has not been souped up for sale but at the cost of the stuff from WW I don't think it is worth the effort.

Thanks I will check out wally world. One thing to note if I had a bull elk 10 feet away he would have been scared away by my heart beating out of my chest.

I was laying down behind a log and I was scared to death that he was going to step over the log and on me. At that distance and without a quick identification he would have probably stomped or gored me to death. It was a definate adrenaline rush. I could hear him breathing when he bent down to pick grass from the other side of my 12inch log. I had my face buried and with camo he never saw me.

Got caught takin a snooze huh? Dont feel bad, the best sleep ive ever had was a few years back hunting deer and i layed down under a small ponderosa pine tree and a thick layer of grass. I was out for a couple hours. We saw 2 bulls that year, a 5x5 and a huge 6x6 and guess what?!! Yeah you guessed it, only had deer tags [:@]
