Default Camo Paint

I purchased an all camoOmega and am looking for advice for storage until next spring / summer. This forum has been a great help for long-term storage in general, but I'm wondering about care of barrels with the camo paint on them. Do you put a thin layer of oil on the outside of the barrel or just wipe it down? Will the oil break down the paint? I have a similar pattern on my remmington turkey gun. My tendancy is to put oil on nearly everything, but I don't want to ruin the finish.

Can't find any advice on the TC site - any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks for puttin up with us newbies!

Default RE: Camo Paint

My Knight Disc has a camo stock. I did wax the inside of the stock where the barrel rests. Other then that, I wipe the barrel off with Birchwood Casey Sheath, put the barrel back in the stock, and have not had any problem with the camo coming off.
