I want to thank you guys for the advice on using the felt wads. I took my T/C Hawkin flinter with a GM LRH barrel out on Sunday to be sure it was ready for the PA primitive season starting after Christmas. Using 100 gr of FFFg, a .50 cal felt wad over the powder and a 275 gr Maxihunter. At 50 yds the first bullet cut the 1 1/2" orange dot at 12 o'clock and the other 2 bullets were touching in the center of the dot. This was probably about a 1" 3 shot group with open sights!!!!
I had a little trouble with ignition after the first shot. But once I changed out the flashhole everything was good.
