You might look back through the archives of this site. I got one a couple of months ago - shot it extensively. Very nice rifle. Accurate, easy to load, easy to clean.

OK. I got mine a day too late to usein the 2006 Colorado elk season. After I got back, the testing process began. The rifle has a great ergo design for coping with recoil. I used, primarily, 130 grains of 2F Jim Shockey Gold with the new 338 Platinum Powerbelt. As you may know, Colorado has regulations that prohibit sabots, pellets, and scopes. The rifle produced golf ball size groups with this combination, which was about as good as I can shoot peep sights. This 338 gr. bullet, going almost 2,000 fps, should be an honest 200 yard load. I like the way the rifle shoots and cleans up afterwards. Very simple design. I give it a "thumbs up".

Never shot a CVA Kodiak Pro. But I do own an Omega and a couple of Black Diamonds. The Genesis compares favorably with either of those.
