Default Which style of Peep Sight mount works best

Okay I like what I have heard on the peep sight idea. What style works the best on a rifle. Williams offers two different style mounts. The first style is a ramp style that mounts in place of the stock rear sight. The second mounts in the scope mounting holes and has the micrometer style calibrations on it for finer adjustments. They both still offer replaceable eye pieces.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Default RE: Preferred brand of peep sight?

On a Knight I would probably put a Williams. On a T/C I like their own peep. On a White is a Lyman SMT 57.

I have both TC and Williams and I like both some guns lend themself to one or the other because of the mounting position,I use a hunting peep [large dia. hole] and if the lighting is not good I unscrew the dish and use the sight as a ghost ring. Lee

I prefer the Williams target style. I have one listed for sale on E-bay right now. I also have one listed for the Encore or Omega. Tom.
