What do you prefer hollow points or aero tips?

It will depend on the rifle and what it shoots best. If you can not place the projectile properly any design in the world will not help. I personally like the Aero Tip in powerbelts. I think you stand a better chance of total penetration.

i agree with you on that but have no info to support it..i use 295 hollow point because it was little cheaper than aero tip..also i dont use in-line with fast speeds,i use flintlock .50 cal and i shoot them around 80 grs or so..

not a real hot load,so it should open up fine on deer..

ive shot deer with both the hollow point and aerotip and never noticed any difference how they shot. Both bullets gave me complete pass through.

Just remember that the aerotip is the same bullet as the hollow point with a piece of "aero" plastic stuck in the front. I shoot the aerotips though.
