Default First Deer Ever

I'm new to deer hunting and muzzleloading, at age 36, but was able to harvest my first deer Saturday morning. She wasn't a large doe but was the third deer I saw and decided I may not have too many more opportunities. CVA Kodiak, 295 gr PowerBelt, 95 gr 3F Pinnacle, 30-40 yards through the heart and part of the lungs. She ran about 10 yrds and fell over. I'm very blessed. Heading out again tomorrow... kids want me to bring home a big ol buck. Oh the pressure.[]

Congratulations, I know the feeling when you see the smoke and deer down. Good luck on that buck.

congratulations on the taking of your first deer. There is no better table fare then a nice doe. Maybe with the kids cheering you on, you will be able to score on a big buck as well. Good luck.

No big ol buck yesterday... I'll keep tryin'! Didn't even see a deer. I guess with all of the activity in the forest, I'm hunt public land, the deer are a bit skiddish. Oh well, a poor day in the woods is better than a good day in the office.

Way to Go BOG!
That doe ought to be real tasty.
Good luck on getting a buck, but keep on hunting and pass it on to your kids.
