Anyone try a Nikon Omega scope on a 26" Encore barrel???

I know the Omega scope is designed for a 28" barrel. I think there was a post a while back about someone using this scope on an original 26 inch Encore barrel. Anyone try this set up?? If so, what were the results?? Thanks.

I haven't but I don't see why it would be a problem. The scope is designed for a certain load range, i.e. 250gr bullet and 150gr powder. If your load is anywhere near the same performance it should be close enough. Until you get out to the extremes of the scopes range you probably wouldn't notice the differences if your within 200fps of the same velocity it's designed for.
