Default Opening day ML Buck (Updated heres the buck I was looking for)

I was in my stand at5:00 am an hour andhalf before daylight. Shot this guy at8 yards5 minutes before it was to dark to shoot asI was getting ready to climb my stand down. I would have pass him up had I been able to judge his rack a little betterlow light and looking at the rack thur the scope made him lookbiggeralmost the twin for the 8 pointer I shot during bow season. Still happy

thats a dang nice buck! My brother in law shot a 4x3 whitetail in NORTHERN new mexico! The game wardens are going nuts trying to get hunters to shoot them before they start breeding the mule deer. 8 yard shot? How low did you have to aim so you wouldnt over shoot him? Very nice looking deer! Looks like a meaty body too.

Third time is a charm. Nice bucks. Where is the jerky. So who gets to hunt the stand next. Tom.

frontier gander, The area I placed my stand is the same place I've been bowhunting. So all of my shots would have been pretty close anyway. It was just a couple of inches difference,Ishot a couple yesterday so I would be ready.

Great shooting. I love shooting animals at close range. I shot my moose at 30 yrds coming into me and it died at 15 yrds. What a rush. There are more to trophies then horns. For me it is the hunt and the closeness.
