Default TESTING THE 777 PRIMERS AND CRUSHED RIB SABOTS

Well I got my crushed rib sabots in and headed to the range to day with the new 777 209 primers. the results were excellent with them. Using the barnes 300 gr expander mz's before were next to impossible to get down my t/c encore so i loaded them up with the harvester crushed rib sabots 50 cal 45 cal bullet. they went down excellent even after the 2 and third shots without swabbing. As for the new primers i think at least in my gun they reduced the crud ring, so i was happy all the way around.here are my test results.
t/c enore 50 cal
130 grains of 777 pellets with 777 209 primers
barnes 300 gr expander mz's with harvester crushed rib sabots
was shooting 2 inch groups at 100yds with this test
p.s also tried a few 290 barnes tipped mz's but they went down to hard I had to use the crushed rib on those also

With that load it sounds like your all set. A deer sure would not want to get in front of a Barnes Expander being pushed with that powder charge. Good luck and glad the rifle is shooting so well. It sure makes it nice.
