All about the same to me. A few swipes with simply green or dish liquid and it all comes out. 777 seems to have more residue in front of the breechplug in inlines. I only use goex or elephant in percussion. Actually I know blackpowder is messy shooting, but seems to burn all the way or leave less residue in the gun.

777 is much cleaner then Pyrodex. As for APP it would be hard to compare as with APP you do not really have to swab if you do not want to . Clean up on guns is over rated. It has to be done. Instead of concerning myself with which one is cleaner, I like to think in terms of accuracy and cost. 777 is a nice powder. I was shooting some today. It cleans very easy.

I had real good luck shooting Pinnacle. And the clean up is really something else. Five patches and your done... sounds like you're on the right track there... nice load, nice gun.

I like 777 better than pyrodex. It has been more consistant in terms of repeatable accuracy. Clean up isn't my main reason, both still require attention. I have not tried APP or Jim Shockey Gold and really see no need to fix what isn't broken. I have no crud ring issues in my Rem 700 MLS.

I was shooting the 3f Pinnacle and it worked real good in my Wolverine and my Black Diamond. Another surprise was it worked good in my traditional rifles. But after a lot of thought, I get the same results with Goex for about a third of the cost.

I had a TC dealer this weekend tell me that TC recomends not to use 777 in my Encore. I have shot around 30 times and seems to be OK. I just bought the Remington clean bores from them but have not shot with them.Should I expect any change when using them as far as shooting goes?Hopefully less fouling.
