Is 777 easier to clean than pyrodex? how about the american pioneer?
777 and APP are a little easier to get out of the bore with nothing but plain tap water than either Pyrodex or real black powder. However, I found that I can shoot all afternoon with Pyrodex without having to swab between shots. I have not tried this with 777 or APP, but their manufacturers claim the same capability. With real BP, I can usually get two or three shots off without having to swab the barrel before fouling gets too bad to let me get the bullet all the way down on the powder charge.

Real black powder leaves a greater amount of fouling in the bore than any of the substitutes I have used. But some black powders foul less than others. FFFg generally burns cleaner than FFg, and the Swiss stuff is a little cleaner burning than GOEX.

I had a TC dealer this weekend tell me that TC recomends not to use 777 in my Encore. I have shot around 30 times and seems to be OK. I just bought the Remington clean bores from them but have not shot with them.Should I expect any change when using them as far as shooting goes?Hopefully less fouling.
That's the first time I've heard that. What was the reasoning?

He told me to call TC.These guys sell alot of TC guns and are usually pretty good guys. I was just asking about primers and was surprised with that. He saidPyrodex was fine but not 777.He said they sell it and alot of it but TC recomends not to use. I have been and was hoping someone here could confirm.

That no longer applies. The gun dealer is still living in the days when T/C took it's sweet ol' time testing 777 when it came into the marketplace. I would have to believe that if you called T/C Inc today, they would approve it's use.
