Hard to load Omega

Just wondering, other than Powerbelts, what loads are you guys finding easy to load in your Omega?

I have had pretty good luck with 250 Gr Shockwaves, after the third shot without any cleaning it gets pretty hard to load but I can definatlely load two and they group fairly well without cleaning.

If you try the MMP Sabots they make it a bit easier than that.

I have excellant grouping and really good loading with the 250 gr sW bullet and HPH24 sabots the 250 XTP also shoots good with the same sabot.
Tha sabot that SW come with will shoot ok but is harder to load and regular HPH12 is very diffacult to load.Lee

You may need to change sabots.... Try a MMP 3 petal sabot (50 cal/.451/.452 bullet). This is probably the thinnest sabot out there. I would really not recommend a"crush rib" until you have tried the MMP 3 petal ez load.

The 3 petal ez load is not shown here, but if you give them a call - tell connie you want the the new 3 petal sabot she will know what you are talking about - You migh want to order a package of HPH-24's also - the 24's will usually work in an Omega - the 3p will for sure.

I have one of those tight Omegas. Sabotloader put me onto the MMP HPH-24 sabots and it solved my problems. I shot the gun about 15 times yesterday and it was a pleasure - no more straining to get the load down the barrel wondering when the ramrod would break.

Give MMP a call andthe solution to your problems will be in your mailbox in 5 days or less.

I am swabbing every other shot with the 300Hornadys and do not seem to have any trouble with the second shot. On the first shot, I put it down with borebutter..

if you use a bit of borebutter every shot they load easier and group better, also the traditions T-Shock XLR's load easier than the shockwaves and shoot just as good maybe better.
