Default Oklahoma Muzzleloader Season?

Hey Guys,

I have been invited to hunt and film at the Ti Ranch in OK. Can any of you tell me if you can use a scope on your gun or not in OK? I checked on the OK website and I guess I missed it or it's not covered. This is the Ranch that the Dream Season guys got kicked off of for shooting little deer. I don't think it's been hunted that much since then and there are 150"s waiting for me. I am excited.

Mike

I have personally never heard of any state not allowing you to use a scope, but I could be wrong. For something as common as a scope, if it's not specifically prohibited in the "regs" i'd say it's okay.
Recommend that you simply call the folks where you're going to hunt and ask them what the rules are.
Best of luck.

Wow what a great opportunity. I would call their game and fish people to be certain. Here in Arkansas a few years back you could not use a scope but they have changed that now. Good luck and be sure to post pictures when you get your trophy.

Don't know about Oklahoma. In kansas.... during the september early muzzle l oader season we can not use a scope, but we can use fiber optic sights. We are allowed scopes on muzzle loaders during the regular rifle season. I would email or call the Oklahoma fish and game.

In a magazine that I have, it has an state-by-state review, so you know where you can use a scope. It says quote: Oklahoma allows the use of metallic sights and optical sights on muzzleloaders. That is from Blackpowder Guns & Hunting.

Scopes allowed. Where is the TI ranch at? I've never heard of it.

Way down yonder in the Indian Nation a Cowboys life is my occupation. And my other occupation is deer hunter. Yes, I am an Okie and you can use an in-line muzzloader, and a scope. Night vision type is a no-no not even. Red dot sights are also a no-no. Sight in for 100 yards if you are going to be hunting in Eastern Oklahoma. The western part of the state you might get a longer shot. I wouldn't shoot at anything over 150 with a muzzloader anway. Also you can shoot sabots. And like the man asked, "where is this Ti Ranch? Lots of big outfits are gobbling this state up for hunting clubs and it is something that I do not like. But I guess that I might as well get used to it. Cause the bottom line is that money talks.
