Default Has anyone dealt with NEF

Has anyone dealt with NEF. I am thinking about buying a nef huntsman muzzleloader and later on getting a rifle barrel for it. Is it a hassle to get a barrel from them.

A buddy of mine has an NEF with a 50 caliber ML barrel and a .243 rifle barrel. Getting the rifle barrel fitted wasn't that big of a deal. You do have to send the reciever in. I believe he said the turn around time was about 6 weeks for a new barrel fitting.

I have the .50 cal huntsman. for this rifle i also have .243, 12 ga slug, and a .357 mag barrel. i bought the .243 first then added barrels. i think you get the strongest receiver that way. i know the shotgun receivers wouldnt, at the time, accept rifle barrels. dont know if you started with a .50 cal. i love mine. very accurate. very simple. much copied action lately. i had a stinker of a barrel in .243 and they replaced it for me. bout 6 weeks turnaround time for me.

The only way to accomplish what you want is to buy the rifle first and have the muzzleloader barrel added. If you start with the Huntsman it will accept shotgun barrels only. If you start with the Sidekick you cannot even fit a shotgun barrel. If you start with the rifle then fitting the muzzleloader barrel is possible. There are three different actions for basically the same gun. You might check some of the online auction sites as they usually have some of the duel barrel rifle/muzzleloader combinations on the sites. You might just find one with the combination you want.
