Default encore & power belts

i got a chance to shoot the 295 's with 80 gr.T7and 209ml primers. even shot it out to 200yd's all i have to say is WOW. i am so glad that i had that easy load cut off the end of the barrel.
still have some experimenting to do ,I'm going to try the corn meal trick with conicals .hope to try that tomorrow, not that i need to ,its a tack driver with Shockwaves300gr. but i have to know how good them conicals will work.

Glad to hear that barrel is finally shooting well.

Who cut off your QLA?
How much did the entire procedure (cut/re-crown/blued) set you back?

I have not had this done to my Encore, but I have read that there are some 50 cal barrels that have the eazy load system machined notexactly square to the end of the barrel and rifling. This causes them to have inaccuracy problems because the gas escapes on one side of the sabot as it leaves the barrel just prior to the rest and "tilts" the projectile as it leaves the barrel.
Many gunsmiths offer cutting the QLA off as a service and I have seen it recommended in many circles.

My particular gun doesn't need it, but I have heard that it can improve accuracy in some barrels.
