Default Shot the inline and flintlock today

I took the winchester x150 out today and started at 25 yards, 80 grains pyrodex rs and the 385 grain great plains hollow point. My first shot was 2" high at 25 yards and almost dead center, my second shot was at 100 yards with 90 grains powder and dead center but low 7". I only had 2 caps, i guess i didnt have as many as i thought lol. But im happy with the way the gun shot these slugs and recoil wasnt that bad. Thanks to the recoil pad lol. But 90 grains will be my max powder charge and maybe 120 yards will the the longest i will shoot. I also brought the .50 kentucky flintlock outside with me and loaded it with 80 grains of 2f, a felt wad, .015 patch and speer round ball. My first shot was dead center and 2" low. My second shot Hit an inch above the first shot and my third hit roughtly an inch and a half from the 1st shot. I bought the felt wads yesterday and tried them out. I found my patchs and they were in great shape. It also seemed like the wads cut down the fouling in the barrel. I had to change my flint after the 3ed shot but i expected it, It was worn down to the size of my pinky nail and round. I put on a nice sharpe flint and i was back in action. Im going to use 90 grains 2f, wad and round ball this hunting season. I was going to use 110 grains and have it dead on, but man my shoulder was taking a beating! I shot it one day and then took a shower and i found that the skin on my shoulder was black and blue and the skin was actually pealed off a bit. So 90 grains will be good enuff to put down the mule deer this season. As for the winchester, I have to get more 209 primers so i can test out the bullets some more! Im happy with the way it shot those big heavy slugs. They seem to do very good in the barrel. After making a couple adjustments to the sights, its ready to go into storage untill sept 8th! Sept 9th muzzleloading season starts in Colorado and i have a buck and a doe tag in my pocket. HA i'll probably see only elk and be kicking myself for not buying an elk tag lol. It was a nice start for the inline. Havnt shot it in so long. Almost a year. And the TC breech plug tape works awesome! I didnt even fight the breech plug when i went to pull it out. That anti seize lube other places sell, including TC do not work at all. In my gun atleast.
