Much-much safer to blast boars with a ML versus a spray cleaner...lol

I'm sure it's a fine product. Does it proclaim to remove copper, lead & plastic? How's the smell? Some solvent-odors can overtake an entire house.

I've used it a few times; it's ok. The smells not bad at all, but it just didn't seem to really clean the bore out as well as I thought it would.

Last night I cleaned my Omega from a Schuetzen blackpowder outing I had where about 20 shots were fired using 70-85 grains with all-lead conicals.

I started cleaning with Butch's Blackpowder Bore Shine until the patches were spotless white.

I next went with an alky-windex mix that produced 3 dirty patches before turning white. Hhhmmmmm!

I then put in Ballistol Sportsmen's All Purpose Oil Spray (green & red can)- which produced four more dirty patches before turning white.

I even used the Ballistol as my storing oil -- instead of the usual Sheath, Rem-Teflon or BF-CLP.

That's not saying much for the Butch's product -- when alky& plain bluewindex cleans better.

Needless to say - I was impressed with the Ballistol's cleaning powder.

We don't have a crystal ball Allseasonhunter!

You never mentioned if you shoot platinums, coppers, lead or plastic... or perhaps all.

I'm going to do another ML cleaning testtomorrow.. well it's after midnight right now- so today! But instead of Ballistol as my last cleaner, I'm going to try Kano Kroil.

If your new CVA "boar" solventis amazing, then it should of left some blue patches - if you shot enough Powerbelt coppers.

For controlling copper, lead and plastic in (1) cleaner/solvent, I like this "2 in 1" below.

For more serious copper issues that arise with some centerfire cartridges, I use this one below.

Lately, all my MLs have been seeing lead conicals. Simple to clean -- just grab the Ballistol for everything ... including short-term storage (3 months).
