Default RE: help cayugad,

My understanding is the NEF Sidekick is made in the United States. It is a product of the Marlin Rifle Company I believe. They are also known as H&R Rifle Comany. In fact you can buy a H&R Huntsmanand it is basically the same as the NEF except you can send the receiver back in and get centerfire barrels as I understand it. There for you need to go through a FFL to get one.

In November of 2000, the Marlin Firearms Company purchased the assets of H&R 1871, Inc. Marketing its products under the brand names of Harrington & Richardson® and New England Firearms®, H&R 1871, LLC is currently the largest manufacturer of single shot shotguns and rifles in the world.
That quote was taken from the Marlin Rifle Company/Harrington & Richardson web site...

Rossi copycatted the Huntsman, so it should look similar. I think you would see differences if you had the rifles in front of you.
