Default first shots

shot my new traditions 50 cal hawken caplock yesterday. first time shootin a muzzle loader fer me. naturaly it rained all day; but i had no FTF's and the smoke was realy cool in the wet air. only shot at 25 yrds so far. 50 grs a pyro-p under a PRB. im on paper close ta center. will be awhile b4 i get the hang a this and move out ta 50yrds. GREAT FUN !!!!

well, er, uh; i kinda cheated. i held up under the reardoor a my minivan well i loaded the rifle and my cap&ball revolver. had the jug with me, but i never opened it. i used a flask.

It sounds like you have an excellent time which is the important thing. You will find that this sport is addicting to be sure.I hope your next trip is nice and sunny and you can enjoy the outdoors while you shoot...
