Default Where should I buy my GM 58cal?

Doese anyone know of some good places to buy a GM 58cal barrel for my Renegade? I called TOW and they do not have any in right now so if I were to get one they said I would get it at The end of August to early September. Elk season is in early September so I would not have much time to shoot the rifle and work up a load. That is why I was wondering if you guys know of some other good places.

Thanks

You can buy them direct from Green Mountain Barrel company but I think you have to pay a little more. It depends on how much of a hurry you are in. I got mine from TOTW.

I just found a place that has it for $154.99. That is a good price.

Try Dixie Gun Works. They stock GM barrels as well. Or perhaps Pecatonica River Longrifle Shop, or The Possibles Shop.

And they're mass produced barrels with excellent quality control, so it should belike mine and Cayugads...80, 90, 100grns Goex 2F (doesn't matter), Oxyoke wonderwad, .018" TC prelubed pillow ticking, Hornady or Speer .570...they just eat the bullseye out of a target

GM doesn't have these barrels in constant production, but intead will run a lot of them every so often. If TOTW is out of stock now, it might indeed take them awhile to get more as they will have to wait for the next production run from GM. TOTW also raised their prices on GM IBS barrels this spring to $178.50.

Midway ShootersSupply has the GM IBS barrels for $154.99 and if this is the place to which you are referring, they are excellent to do business with and I wouldn't hesistate to order from them. That is an excellent price and ifthey havethe barrelin stock, you should get it while you can.

Sharp Shooter

Not sure if the GM-IBS will be exactly a Renegade barrel... It will be a 1" barrel but it will possibly be a longerbarrel rather than a 27" barrelyour Renegade may have now.

Not tht it is a big deal - - but I really like the shorter barrel in the woods....
