Default shockey's gold

I'm going to try some shockey's gold powder in my new inline. I want something really easy to clean because of the scope and fibre optics etc. What do you guys think of the stuff? And does it clean up as easy as they claim? Every rifle is different so I dont know how it will shoot but I just want to hear some experiences, thanks nysb.

nysbowhunter,I have shot several pds of it yes it cleans like a dream, it is to touchie to an exact load in my gun to suit me. I use APP FF which cleans the same and in my guns has a span of 20 to 50 gr where it only get elevation changes in my group. Lee

Another excellent powder to shoot and clean up after is Pinnacle 3f. I've shot four pounds of it. In all my testing, I have had excellent accuracy with sabots under 350 grain. I have not had good accuracy shooting conicals or heavy projectiles for some reason.

I shot 240 grain XTP'sin my KnightWolverine and never swabbed the barrel for 12 shots (I ran out of projectiles then). It took five patches to clean the barrel.

All powders made by American Pioneer clean up easily with nothing but water. This includes Gold, APP, Pinnacle, and the original, Clean Shot.

Hodgdon's Triple 7 does also. Just plain water............

I work for Jim, and we have had a lot of postive feedback on the "Gold". It comes in stick form as well as powder now and has produced some excellent results. I know the powder we've used is very easy clean up.
