Exactatly right T.C. will take care of the problem or they will send him a new gun. I know they don't make that gun any more and if they don't have the parts to fix the problem they will send him a comprable replacement. For shipping instructions this is there repeir shop 1-(800) 343-4570 Fox Ridge Outfitters 400 No Main St. Rochester N.H. 03867 they use a different mailing address of P.O. Box 1700 Rochester N.H. 03866. I have used there warranty many times with all great results. Please let us know about your experiance dealing with them and the work they do and post it here OK I would appreciate it. Mike

I had a 15 year old Renegade that developed a crack in the stock near the lock. I called Thompson Center to see how I should repair it and they asked me to send it to them. I did and it was fixed. A new stock mind you, but it was fixed. One of the reasons many of us keep preaching .... buy a quality rifle from a quality dealer.

When my Tradition's Pioneer developed a crack in the stock behind the tang and I called them, I was told they do not make that model anymore and perhaps some glue would fix it. That was the end of their customer service.

I think you will end up with a new black diamond or maybe a no thrill omega

If your Firehawk is anything like mine, it's a real conical shooter. If TC can't fix your problem and you end up with a Black Diamond, FWIW you may be a bit dissappointed as I don't think they're known for being a conical shooter due to their much faster twist (1:28 vs 1:38 of the Firehawk).

Yes, the Black Diamond can throw a sabot as well as the Encore or Omega, but again I've never heard much about them being a conical shooter. If you intend as using your rifle to shoot sabots, the Black Diamond is a great gun; a couple of my friends have one and Cayugad has professed many times about his.

Wish TC would introduce a (from the factory, not the expensive Fox Ridge special order) 1:38 twist barrel for the Encore...I'd order one immediately. []

The Black Diamond XR will shoot conicals. Where I mostly hunt, 50 yards is the norm for shooting. The rifle will do a fine job in that case. The trick is you do not push them too hard. It also shoots Hornady Great Plains Conicals with some outstanding accuracy.

Actually the Black Diamond XR will really do some fancy shooting with sabots. It will basically shoot about anything. When I first thought about getting the rifle I was given some excellent advise by a poster we all know.. he told me they are not as easy to clean as the Omega (and he was not kidding there) but when it comes to shooting they would match any rifle out there...

Holy smokes, that's some fine shooting with the Black Diamond. Never realized they could throw big lead as well as that. I'll be forwarding this pic to a couple of Black Diamond owners I know.

I humbly stand corrected...[&:][&:]
