TWO ULTRA MAGS ARE ON THE WAY TO ME! My son is going to be thrilled when he finds out. He has the money saved. Me, I had to ask the CFO (wife).

They are coming from the Midvale, Utah store. The guy at the local Sportsman's said probably 5-7 days.

He said the computer showed they were laminated, but when the person in Utah checked they were actually composite. I really like the looks of the laminated, but the lighter weight composite will be nicer for carrying. If the composite stock is the one I saw in a picture on the internet, it looks very nice also.

So my search and questions about the different rifles are over. But....the questions about everything else have only just begun! Thanks everyone for your input, especially sabotloader for his helpfulness. I truly think at $299 + $13 for shipping this was a killer deal.

For anyone out there that wants one, I think there are still a few out there. It only took them a few minutes to find them on their computer.

That Underclocked has hooked more people in the last month on a white rifle ... he should be real proud of himself...

cascadedad - you and your son are going to be very pleased with your selection. Just make sure the store sends you all the parts. I had to call them back to get my musket nipple/plug. Nothing big mind you, but since it was part of the deal then it is part of the deal. I think you are going to be thrilled with the rifles.

Those ultra-mags (pimp rifles) are something ,very simple design and do they shoot

So do you guys thinkthe Whites will everybe mfg'd again? Why did they stop? Not enough demand?

Seems like the White rifles having exposed ignitions probably aren't a top choice in the majority of states (not requiring exposed ignitions). Also, a lot of buyers probably couldn't justify the increased price over a Thompson or Knight. What did the White's sell for prior to them being closed out? Two different guys at Sportsman's said their cost was $340.

Sure hate to see such a beautiful/functional gun go under.

I don't know, just thinking out loud. What do you think?
