Default new muzzleloader

I have a CVA muzzleloader. They recommend magnum pellets. I can still use the power right? I dont think want to use pellets.

CVA doesn't recommend magnum powder charges in your gun -- but they do allow it. Keep your loose powder charges at/below 100 grains FF/FFF substitute blackpowder.... 85-90 gr with loose 777. When using pellets, 777 is the same strength as other pellet powders. Designed that way for safety reasons to match Pyrodex pellets in strength.

Most CVAs shoot best when not exceeding 120 grains in pellets. However, that requires the purchase of 30 gr. pellets.

Yes.. you can use loose powder without a problem. The guidelins Triple Se7en gave you are accurate. My CVA shoots best with 90 grains of loose 2f powder.
