Default Jim Zumbo's Book

We were at a national chain book store last night (AKA the library), and I was reading through Jim Zumbo's new book on elk hunting. For some of you on this board who are considering giving this a try - or have tried it, but without a lot of success - this is one of the best most comprehensive "how to" books I have ever seen. Lots of good information and insights that could really spell the difference between success and skunk on a self guided trip. I don't know if he wrote this specifically for Colorado hunting, but it certainly seems as if he did . . . . .

Default RE: Jim Zumbo's Book

Haven't seen it, but doesn't surprise me. I have always liked his books. He is the common man's elk hunter. Lots of guys that write books tell about hunts on private ground, but the books I have read so far from him are how he hunted public land by hiking over a mountain to access hard to access public ground and then packed the elk out on his back. My kind of elk hunter.
