Well I finally did it and took my first yote with my new Savage 10ML-II muzzleloader. I was using ~44gr. AA 5744 with a Hornady 300gr. SST and a Winchester 209 primer. You can read the whole story on this thread. http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=1518785
I know that is way to much bullet for a yote, but I'm working on an elk load for the year and need to get used to how this rifle shoots. I've only had it out twice and it is a sweet shooter. Anyway enjoy the pics on the other thread.

congrats.i have yet to get close enough on yote here in pa.for flintlock shot. i was real close in jan hunting a nice buck.yote was 40 yards away and picked my scent up,i think. i have shot 7 so far with a .250 sav with 87 gr. speer.missed about 10 or so running. take care.
