Default 41 cal sabots?

Sabot Loader or anyone - looking to try some sabot combo's in my .410 White 91. What are some of the choices you might recommend?

Thanks
Steve

With that rifle, I'd stick to the conicals. With the smaller diameter of the bore, you get a good long conical and you should have some outstanding accuracy with it. I have even considered a .451 White, but I promised that this last Ultra Mag would be it for a while... The question is.. what constitutes "a while."

Probably what I'll do - got some 385 NEW's coming from BS soon.
Coming up to life target season in the backyard (woodchuck) - most shots between 75 to 150 yds and want to set up something so I don't have to consider trajectory too much. Thought a 200gr sabot might do it..

Thanks
Steve

For varmints - you might try some cast just a little harder than pure (maybe 1.5-2% tin)and maybe lighter weight stuff. (Harder so you could push 'em faster.) Betcha BS could fix you up. I shot some 280 grain bullets in mine cast from pure lead in a mold Skullmount had sent to me and they didn't do terrible. I was shooting several different bullets on a windy afternoon and could probably have tightened things up with weighed charges. http://www.missouri-whitetails.com/data/500/49410-0228a-med.jpg Don't know what kind of velocity 75 grains of P was giving me, but encountered no leading. I think you could push some castfrom a bit harder alloy to a pretty good clip. http://www.missouri-whitetails.com/data/500/49411280c-med.jpg

If you really want to shove them, you might get on the risky edge and try some of what Roskoe is doing with the Gold Dots http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=878663 [:-]

I know of no sabots made for the .410 caliber.
