Default First Day out with the Bighorn

First day at the range with the new Knight Bighorn. Shot my 460 grain no excuses with 80 grains of FFG 777 and a felt wad. The grouping was fairly consistent. It is a bit spread as I was working it from the left to center on the Williams WGRS Aperture sight. I figure for a first time out with a smokepole this is not bad grouping at 100yds. I think with a little practice this will be a real elk hammer load as the grouping is pretty good.

for open sights, you got a real keeper. That load will do the job. Nice shooting. Those Bighorns are a nice rifle. I have a Wolverine and a Disc and both of them are great shooters....

Nice going.

Nice shooten'

Which ignition system were you using? Doesn't the big horn allow all three?

What are your thoughts on the fit and feel of the gun?

I am using musket caps because of the Washington State rules. I like the fit and feel. I bought the thumbhole stock version with phantom camo and stainless. It is a nice shooting gun.

My son-in-law lives in Kennewick and we are toying we the thought of getting him a ML. The Bighorn was one of the options we were looking at.
