Default New bullet to try.

Just bought a box of Sierra "Sports Master" 300g jsp. They are .4295dia with a flat point even though they are listed on the box as jsp. They look very well made with just one crimp ring and "handgun only" warnings on the box. I guess the overall case size would be too long for tube fed magazines on rifles.

I'm thinking my fast twist rifles arew going to love these.

It will be intresting to see how they shoot. Be sure and keep us posted. I am always looking for new bullets to try...

The next on the list are the 10mm 200 grainHornady XTP's... I have high hope for them in some of my inline rifles.

I too will be looking for the up-dates on these new
bullets. I shoot the 300gr. XTP-Mag Hornadys, so I
will like to see how well these do for you.

Danny, I hope these will be the 300g answer to the Hornaday Interlock 265g fp that I love to shoot. being a flatpointed bullet I hope to get good accuracy out of them.

I tried some Nosler 300g hp (partitions?) they did not shoot as good as the Hornaday's. I just figure with the speeds we are shooting the bullets do not need to be hollow pointed for good expansion. The drag is nice to get rid of.

Pittsburghunter

Another Jacket Soft Point that I found and really shoots well is a Speer but it is .451. I have shot at least 1/2 box of them and they do group well.

The first one is the Speer .451 (BC .199) built for the 45 Colt and the second is a Speer.429 (BC 213) built for the UCSP 44 Mag
