quietly reading this forum for months and months now because of all the usefull info that is posted here.
Past weekend i finally took my .54 thunderhawk to the range and my mission was not to blow my head off.. After about 25 shots of 80 gr 777 and 310 grain ball-ets my shoulder had enough and i returned home with a big smile.

I'm glad your shooting experience was enjoyable. That load you described is a real knock down load you have. Sounds like your all set, and hooked to boot.

I have to agree with you on the thunderhawk,one great inline.
I have the 54 cal. with the wood stock,all I have to say or some say it was t/c best inline.
Welcome, the bug has bit you and there's no turning back. I keep on buying guns but will never have the arsenal as some of these other guys have. Everyone says it's their last gun, I know it to be true, but we all get another one because of the bug that has bit us all. It is fun to set off smoke, be safe and enjoy the sport, we learn something new every day here.
