Default Rocky Mountain Hawkens Rifle

Have you all seen this Rocky Mountain Hawkens rifle by Petersoli? I really think that this is the most beautifull looking rifle I have ever seen. I know this is the nest rifle I buy. It has a perfect twist to! Do you know what stock the rifle in the picture is? Maple or Walnut? Here is a link and a picture.

My first thought when I saw it - Lyman GPR...

Couldn't find a good picture right away....

It is kind of like the GPR. I like the looks of this one alot better. I like the stock in that picture alot! I would hope if I ever got one it would look alot like the one in the picture.

One thing you have to look closely at with Pedersoli double-set triggers is the trigger guard size.

A feware below "ML"normal. Even thou this one looks "borderline marginal" in the picture, make sure you handle/workit before purchase. Bring your shooting glove to the store. If the store displaymodel has a trigger lock installed, ask to have it temporarily removed for finger-fit.

Well Sharp Shooter you perked up my ears with that and I checked around looking for one but it seems nobody I checked with has them in stock yet and no one would give me a price either.

I must say that comes as close to a real Hawken than anything I have seen except custom.

It is the closest rifle to like a mid 1800's rifle when they started going to half stock and wedge pins.

Beautiful looking rifle. Looks very similar to my GPR. Wish I knew what it cost, I would love to add that one to my small (but growing!) muzzleloader collection.
