QTompkins2005,
"Yes" I've been to Praire du Chein store. It was originally a catalogwarehouse from what I was told. They have a very nice store there and have just about everything that's in the catalogs. Praire du Chein is a very scenic area, along the Mississippi and Wisconsin River.
It's about a 2.5hr. drive for me and I get there 3-4 times a year.
Have fun and bring the plastic or plenty of the green stuff....you'll need it.

I haven't been to that store but have been to the stores in Dundee Michigan and Wheeling Wesgt Virginia, both of those are very nice stores to visit. Spacious, well stocked, and lots of mounts, displays, etc to look at. Staff seems reasonably knowledgeable also.

My wife even likes to go there and she doesnt hunt, just one heck of a cook which explains why I am 5'9" and 250 lbs, I'd hate to divorce her just to loose weight, he he just joking. (After 30 years of marriage I couldnt live with any other woman might as well keep her)

Also Bass Pro Shops in Nashville Tn, Springfield Mo, and Las Vegas Nevada are real nice lookers too if you ever get the chance and have an hour or two to kill. Cincinnati Bass Pro is tiny in comparison. Havent been to any of the others.

Is that one in WI a new one? I've been told that each time they build a new one, it's bigger than the last one. I live about 1 hr, 10 min. from the one in Dundee, MI. My kids give me gift cards for Christmas and Father's Day (yipee!). Our church men's ministries group takes an annual trip there each Spring (Apr 22 this year - I get to drive the bus - yipee!). Of course, if you aren't near one, you can still spend as much as you want on the phone or online . I'm thinking they must have a pretty good training program - or else hire seasoned outdoors people - because the folks on the floor at our location are very knowledgable and very helpful.

Jaybe: It's just a "SHAME" that you can't get
excited about the church trip. But look at it
this way......it's a tough job but somebodys got
to do it. I've been to the bass pro in
Branson and Nashville. There is talk of Cabelas
trying to purchase enough property here in West
Kentucky, to put in a superstore. Good shooting
& God Bless..............Danny

I liked the Rogers Minnesoata store. It is farly new. Guy in the gun dept wasn't all that knowing about PB stuff. But he was able to point me in the direction of the shelves where the BP stuff was stacked and hung.

Methinks cayugad will find reasons to visit the Richfield area frequently
