I have both the percussion and flint gpr and they both came with the wedge oins very loose. I slightly bent mine in the middle, doesnt take much at all and this seemed to work.

Have you tried reversing them? Sometimes wedge pins fit only one way.

Another thing you can do is take some packing tape and wrap the bottom edge of the wedge pin throat or slide as some call it located on the bottom of the barrel. Get a couple layers on it and it will usually tighten that up when you slide the wedge pin through it.

Others bend the wedge pin slightly. I dislike this because it adds a lot of strain on the escutcheon plate.

Or you can lay the barrel on a flat hard surface. The with a nail set, put that in the center of the wedge pin throat and dent it inward.

I vote for Cayugads solution - much better than bending the wedge. I put put a piece of leather on top a block of wood (2x4) and then tap the middle of the underlug with a flat punch and a hammer - a little bit can be a lot - take time to check - you can always open it back up with a chiesel punch.

I usually add a bit of braze to the bottom inside of the loop where the wedge press on it then file to fit. Lee

Thanks fellas, I went to my Buddies Pipe Organ Shop and got 2 bits of thin brass. Cut it and bent it around the pin slide on the barrel. Worked out well, nice and tight. I liked the brass that way when it comes time to take apart the brass will give easier than the metal on the barrel! Thanks again!
