Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the forum... I personally can not help you a lot at this point but someone will be along that will be able to. I do not use Shockey's or have enough knowledge of it's abilities to give you adequate directions. Which Shockey's do you have 2f or 3f?
Shooting 200 yards will be a practice thing, but it can be done have patience and find what works for you.

You're going to have a lot of projectile testing and work to do before you can shoot 200 yards. Whether the projectile you think will do the job actually can bedemonstrated on the range. Also the powder charges you shoot will be according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Be sure to follow that. Whether Shocky's Gold will be a good powder for the kind of powder you want to shoot.. again, back to the range.
Good luck with the rifle.

I tried them, they did not shoot to bad. I got the best group in my Omega using 3 sticks but you should chek your owners manual to see what max load is for that gun then work up to it looking for pressure signs.
Also make sure to get all the grease out of a new gun before you shoot it.Lee

IF your gun is 150grns max for powder, then start out about 80 grns and go up from there and you should be pretty safe. Most peopleshott in the 80 to 120 grn range.

I have a Kodiak. I have have played with several things. I was not very scientific, and changed several things. I aminpressed withthe accuracy of the kodiak with the combo I ended up with. Hornady 245 sbots and 90 grains of 777. At 100 yards it is very accurate, almost comparable to my 270.
