Default .300 WSM 700 REM

I found a source for a new 700 Remington.300 Ultra-Short Mag, very reasonable priced brand new. I am thinking on having it rechambered to a .300 WSM. It will give me more bullet options and I already own a 270 700 it would shoot somewhat the same, safety configs, actions etc. The total cost would be around $520.00. Any thoughts on this idea. Could go with a Tikki but really like the 700
Thanks for the thoughts on the 270 for elk on another post, decided a .300 needs a home in my locker. Especially for future elk trips.
Appreciate your opinions.

I would go with the 700 Rem as I have long been a fan of them. I would however leave it as is for its a fine caliber for Elk or anything else that stalks NA. Get a die set and some brass and you will never need to rechamber.

Why not look into buy 300wsm in either the 700 SPS or 700 XCR models now offered by Remington.
