I beleive that a good quality cut to the tip will do you good. There are many good brands to choose from. I would try to stay away from any that have a longer thin tip and thin blades. Any solid sharp cut to the tip will do you well.

Caribou are not much bigger or tougher than a deer. They can be taken at longer ranges than most whitetails though. I would worry more about arrow flight at longer ranges. Not a big fan of mechanicals but they might make sense here. The reality is when you stick your caribou he will likely have no where to hide and will be in view untill he dies.

I would stay away from the expandables. Carabou might not be any bigger than a deer but you want to make sure you make a pretty good sized hole. A carabou can cover an amazing amount of distance, they are not as prone as whitetails to hole up in the first heavy cover they find. Well actually they might just like that, but the closest heavy cover might be 10 miles away . Any good sharp broadhead will work. 3 blade Thunderheads are hard to beat, or magnus/zwickey for traditional arrows. I have been looking rather hard at the Razorcap broadheads also, look to be a very tough design.

Let's see now!!!! Lifetime hunt you say! Expandables have improved, so they say, but the chance of them not opening in a chance of a lifetime hunt, I don't think so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So any type of head you have to rely on opening up on contact would be out of the question for me!! There are many good heads out there, but if you want the best, check out Stingers or Snuffers, Stingers are the easier to tune between the two!--ElkNut1

I have taken Caribou, Elk, Black Bear, Buffalo, wild hogs to name the larger, tougher animals with 3 blade Rocky Mountain Razors & 3 Blade Ironheads.
