my 2004 bighorn ram
Hi All,
I’ve followed a number of forums the last few years, but didn’t know about this one until a friend just told me about it. I do recognize a few handles here from other forums. The handle I usually use (Nontypical) must be in use by someone else here.
I was fortunate enough to take a bighorn ram last year and entered a photo in a contest. I’d appreciate your vote. Or, vote for another photo in the contest if you prefer. More votes means the best photo is more likely to win. This really was the hunt of a lifetime and it’s nice the photo of him made it into the finals of the contest.
Here’s a link to my photo, and there’s a link on that page to all the finalists…
Bighorn Photo
I’m going to try to put together a webpage to share some more photos from my hunts soon.
Thanks, and good luck to all of you in this year's tag drawings!
Kevin

RE: my 2004 bighorn ram
thanks to all for the congratulations, and for your votes
idahoelkinstructor, you're very right, the memories of the hunt are the real trophy, a great summer spent in the high country searching it for sheep, every time I look at him they come back
cardeer, you made me smile, how's this for an answer...
abortion is a polarizing issue where people have deeply held beliefs, and where both sides of the debate can make good arguments for their positions
how's that for a safe answer
anyway, have a nice day all

Nice pic! Congrats.
Stay away from the abortion commentary though, "polarizing" - definately. "Both sides making good arguments for their positions" - as you said it's "polarizing" making this nearly impossible.
Good luck with the contest.

Ant,
I don't really understand what you mean about both sides not being able to make good arguments, but yes, it's not the issue here and I probably should've ignored that post. I was just indicating that I want to steer away from it but respect differences of opinion.
back to the sheep...
He's a Colorado ram taken at about 12,000 feet!
some days, it's still hard to believe it all happened last year, but that's the beauty of having pictures and the mount, brings back the memories
by the way all, if you like sheep and want to support them...
Rocky Mtn Bighorn Society
there's a fun banquet coming later in the spring
Cheers,
KJ

That sure is a great looking animal and 12000 feet is way up there. Thanks for the info about the Big Horn Society.
As for two sides not being able to make good arguments, I kow you were only bantering with another person and like you said it's not the issue here.
Best of luck.
