After a 30+ day vacation (from this forum) I thought I would just drop you all a line. Looks like things haven"t changed much since I was here last, as the same issues and questions continue to cycle. It"s been an interesting couple of years; I"ve learned a fair bit while I was here; I"ve met some great folks; and there were/are a few hard core-hard chargers in particular that I empathize with a lot! I guess, some of us out there just march to a bit different drummer....
I have got Hunting 101, 102, 201, and 202 (elk) down pat and behind me. It is simply time to kick things up a notch or two. That requires a different focus. I may "drop in" from time to time and visit you all, but won"t likely be a "regular" again. Given my current plans, where I am at, where I am heading, and where I want to go - - - I have reshuffled my priorities, my routine, and my schedule.
Thanks For The Memories,
Good Luck and Good Hunting,
And as always,
Never Go Undergunned,
Always Check The Sight In,
Perform At "Showtime",
EKM

Good judgment comes from bad experience! Learn from the mistakes of others; you' ll never live long enough to make them all yourself!
Good luck with your future endeavors. I've certainly learned much from your contributions.
While I differ with your opinion and view on the whole "class" discussion, that certainly doesn't diminish the value of your contributions in my mind. That whole discussion could easily be categorized as a religious or political discussion anyway. From your many posts I surmise that you place great weight in the concept and regret that it seems to have played a role in your decision to no longer share your thoughts and experiences with the community.
I know sometimes people can get just too involved with about anything and when that happens you need a break or a seperation from that activity. My wife and I have done the same with archery education. Well will still teach in the future but this year we are taking a break. Anyway you'll be missed, just check in next season with an update.

ELKampMaster, This place will not be the same with out you.[&o] You were a great asset to this form.
You got me interested in larger caliber rifles. My 375-R.U.M. is shooting very well. Thank you for taking the time to write in detail how you shoot your hard kicking rifles from the bench. Most of my range time with this rifle is spent shooting standing up.
I hope you will be hunting bigger game this year.
good to see that you are still amongst the living!! I find myself asking....What does he mean by new direction. Maybe it's personal and you don't want to share but I for one would love to hear more about what this new path is. Hope you can find the time to login periodically as your presence is greatly appreciated!!
Personally.......I learned a lot from your posts, pictures and advice. Thanks for what you contributed. As someone that has many interests, with Elk Hunting being only a portion of it, I try to learn from others as best I can. Hope you find some balance in your endeavors.
There will always be plenty of "green" types out there making mistakes and looking for answers, sometimes to questions that shouldn't even be asked!!!! So anytime you feel the urge to share with those in need.........we'll still be here!
