Default Proper presentation for Deer Validation

In California, one has to have their deer validated by a state employee. However, it seems all these State employees say that the body must be attached to the head with antlers. In some case the genatls also. What supprises me is, what if you have to bone out or quarter your game in the field - then what. Luckly I have never had to do this.

Does anyone know what is the proper protocals for validating a deer in CA?

I don't know anything about the laws out there but here in Utah you are supposed to leave proof of sex attached to the body if the head is seperated from the body. But there have been numerous occassions when getting the animal out meant quartering it and I did not leave proof of sex attached and no LEO has never mentioned it to me when I've been stopped. Hopefully some locals will chime is and let you know if it's enforced strictly or not.

The more I learn about Kalifornia the more I enjoy living in Texas. I think that the citizens of communist China may have less regulation and restrictions to live with than ya'll.
