Default Colorado Population Data?

Any one know where I can find what animal populations are by region, unit, or county in Colorado? I looked on the F&W web site, but couldn't find it if it was there. I was looking for elk, deer, turkey, and bear populations.

Thanks for any information you can provide!

Don't know for sure but you can call the Colorado DOW at 303-297-1192, maybe they can help you.

They use to print a Big Game statistics book that had this data (number of animals in each GMU, male/female rations, etc.), but since the advent of the internet, they have discontinue this booklet. As far as I know, they don't have this data anywhere on their website presently. At least, as of this past summer, they told me they didn't. What I did is email them and ask for this data for the specific areas I was interested in and they sent me the info. It was 2002 data though. Hopefully, they at least have '03 data by now. Good luck.

bottom line: call or email them and they can probably send you the info you like. Not as good as it used to be though, because I liked having the entire state to research.
