Only 9 months until archery elk season!

I have no idea how to spend the next 9 months. I guess enjoy the holidays with my family, but after that? I absolutely hate January-March. Spring bear opens in april, trout season in may, then boating until archery, but God help me in those first three months. Anybody got a cure for Elkhunting Withdrawal Syndrome?

Coyotes is the answer. Kinda like Elk hunting the rut. Ya gotta call them in and some are call shy. I haven't had much luck but then again I haven't spent the same kind of time in the woods as Elk and Deer.
It dont look like I will have much work in Dec so I'll be pulling out the 22-250 and trying for a few days. Saw enough tracks in the snow to know they are around.

Call coyotes, Work up a load for a new rifle, Reload all of your hunting ammo for next season, Clean up all of your hunting gear, Buy new hunting boots & break them in, Make a list of everything you want to buy before next hunting season & buy it a.s.a.p. hunting items go on sale after the season is over, Target pratice with your bow & rifle, Dream about next season & the tags you want to draw.

Wolf killer I agree 100%, the only problem that I have is, I need a couple of thousand to spend on my hunting gear. Around 10 grand or so a year to spend only on hunting would be great.[8D] I too hunt coyotes and I also love to hunt ducks and geese. In reality with all there is to do with work, family, and preparing for next years hunt, the elk hunting season comes faster than we think.

I forgot to mention that I hope I shoot some of the very large, northern variety coyotes!!

Yeah next years big game season cannot get here fast enough!
