Eastern Montana Mule Deer

Here in unit 270 I was unable to draw a muley buck tag. I am thinking of pulling my camper out to eastern Montana later in the season for a buck hunt. I have a buddy in Wolfpoint, but I don't want to travel that far. Anybody got any suggestions?

I just came back a few days ago from area 700 south of fort peck -east of the musselshell--was antelope hunting (by myself and for the first time). slept in the back of my vehicle for two nights and killed one on the third day (had the time of my life--doin'it). Saw some nice mulies as well. I am going back out there to Elk and Mule deer hunt (general tag area for deer) with some guys I met in this forum. You are welcome to come along. We are all going to be there from Oct 31-Nov 4 and I will be there before and after those dates as well--Since I drew the Elk Tag, I am going to try to hunt up there as much as possible and have a fairly flexible schedule. Hillbilly, what town will you guys be located in/by? I might be intrested.

The nearest gas station is the town of Jordan or possibly Winnett depending. I'll send you a personal message with my phone number if you want to talk--I have a good bit of info. Where are you located? It is probably about 2.5-3 hours east of lewistown
