RE: Got my first antelope!
Duffy,
I live in Ontario, so it was a 24 hour drive for me. Should be less for you. We all drew tags easily and also bought doe tags. Checked the zone on the Wyoming website and draw success was over 90%.
As for rifle used, I used a Sako Finnlight 7mm rem mag with a Leupold VARIX II 3x9 on it. Its my flattest shooting rifle so it was an easy choice. THese little buggers are not hard to kill but the shots were quite long so a flat shooter that bucks wind is very important. I was the only guy carrying a rangefinder and took my buck at 403 yds through the heart (1 shot) and my doe at 326 yds (1 shot also). The others did alot of missing, mostly because of poor range estimating. I would not have done as well without the rangefinder. We hunted area 28 north Of Douglas.
